About Encounters Africa

Encounters Africa creates tailor-made luxury safaris across Southern and East Africa. Every trip is designed by a safari specialist and booked directly with the camps and lodges, so each journey is built around the traveller rather than a fixed package.

We plan safaris in Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Itineraries combine destinations, camps, timing and pace around what each guest wants from their time in Africa.

Encounters Africa is part of Secret Namibia, a safari company focused on Namibia.

Encounters Africa was founded by Lourens Nieuwoudt, its owner and founder, together with co-founder Jeremy Dixon.
