The stay

Accommodation is offered in various styles. Guests can opt for the bush-style cottages with outdoor rock showers or the modern-style Aquila Lodge with great vistas over the Reserve. Formats include rooms for two people up to accommodation for families of four, six, or eight. Accommodation includes welcome drinks, lunch, dinner, and breakfast as well as two traditional safaris.

The cottages and lodges at Aquila Private Game Reserve offer a measured rhythm of the day. Morning light falls across the reserve while guests wake to tea or coffee and a full breakfast. After a traditional game drive, lunch is served before the afternoon brings another drive or quiet time on the veranda. Evening meals are taken in the main lodge or on the deck, with wine available from the reserve’s tasting selection. Air-conditioned rooms and outdoor showers provide comfort after time on the plains.

In a tailor-made South African itinerary, the reserve serves as a contained base for two included safaris each day. Families can choose cottages or lodge rooms that suit their size, while the airport shuttle and on-site security support seamless arrivals and departures. Horse riding and bird watching add variety between drives, and conference facilities allow small meetings without leaving the property.
