The family owned and operated, multi-award-winning Chiawa Camp, is the pioneer of the Lower Zambezi National Park, the first camp to settle along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Zambia’s premier luxury safari camp, Chiawa is a gentle and unhurried experience for both wildlife and guests, while still offering up a diverse range of activities. Each of the luxury tents boast spectacular views over the Zambezi River and its vast array of resident wildlife.

Chiawa Camp offers a calm rhythm shaped by the river that flows past each tent. Mornings begin with the soft light over the water and the chance to watch wildlife from the private deck before setting out on foot or by boat. Evenings return guests to the same view, now softened by lantern light and the quiet murmur of the current.

In a tailor-made Lower Zambezi safari, Chiawa Camp serves as a measured base from which days can be shaped around seasonal game movements and personal pace. A Safari Suite provides additional space for those who prefer longer stays, while the option of a Safari Sleepout adds a single night under the open sky when the itinerary allows.
