The stay

Laba Siwandu is located in Nyerere National Park, the largest and oldest National Park in Africa. Set on the shores of Lake Nzelekela, the lodge offers a wide variety of flora and fauna experiences, including unique boat safaris where guests can witness hippos, crocodiles, and elephants.

Laba Siwandu places visitors on the edge of Lake Nzelekela, where the quiet water and surrounding bush create a calm base for days spent watching wildlife. Morning and evening game activities can be planned around the lodge, with boat safaris offering close views of hippos, crocodiles and elephants, and land drives covering the wider plains. Each tented suite is fitted with a freestanding copper bathtub, an open-air shower and a ceiling fan, while WiFi, a safe and a hairdryer support practical needs.

The lodge sits inside Nyerere National Park, so a tailor-made safari can combine its boat excursions with longer drives that explore the park's varied habitats, all within a single itinerary. The tented suites provide a comfortable place to rest between activities, allowing guests to move from water-based sightings to land-based game viewing without changing location.
