Lodge
Lango Camp
The stay
Built over the baï, Lango’s six cozy double/twin bungalows offer a front-row seat to the natural theatrics of the wetlands. Surrounded by lush vegetation and thatched in local raffia fronds, chalets feature en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, mosquito-netted beds, and wraparound decks. A short stroll on a boardwalk brings you to an open-air pavilion, where you can sit by the fire to watch animals crossing just below.
Lango Camp’s six double or twin bungalows sit directly above the wetlands, so wildlife passes beneath the decks at almost any hour. Each chalet is screened by raffia thatch and thick vegetation, yet the wraparound deck remains open to the sights and sounds of the baï. Inside, mosquito nets hang over the beds, and the en-suite bathrooms supply hot showers and flush toilets. In the evening, guests cross the short boardwalk to the open pavilion, where a fire pit glows beside the bar and lounge.
A stay at Lango Camp integrates naturally into a tailor-made safari in the destination because the camp’s location beside the wetlands provides immediate wildlife viewing without additional transfers. The six bungalows allow small groups to settle into a quiet base while still enjoying the open-air pavilion for meals and evening gatherings.
