The stay

Set within a malaria-free Big Five reserve where the Kalahari meets the lush bushveld, Madikwe Safari Lodge gives you front-row access to one of South Africa’s most varied safari landscapes. From our three camps and private villa on an elevated ridge, you’ll look out over waterholes and open plains that offer awe-inspiring views and sightings.

From elevated positions across the ridge, each suite opens onto a private deck where a plunge pool and wood burning fireplace invite quiet moments between game drives. Air conditioned interiors feature king or twin beds, an en suite bathroom with outdoor shower, and a stocked mini bar, while coffee and tea facilities and luxury amenities add comfort after early starts. WiFi and a safe keep the practical side of travel simple.

Luxury Suites or Family Suites with all meals included place guests at the centre of a tailor made safari in Madikwe Game Reserve. Bush breakfasts and dinners, picnic lunches, and game drive refreshments are served in the open or at the lodge, allowing each day to follow the rhythm of the reserve rather than a fixed timetable.
