The stay

Malewane Lodge is a classic and traditional bush-style lodge situated on the western boundary of the Greater Kruger National Park. The lodge features six Luxury Suites and two Royal Suites, offering an elegant refuge with private heated pools, outdoor salas, and expansive views of the pristine wilderness. The lodge offers a refined bush experience where each suite opens onto its own heated pool and shaded sala, inviting quiet hours between activities. Twice-daily game drives depart from the main area, while bespoke meals are served in the dining room, on the veranda or at private locations within the reserve. After dark, the spa and fitness centre remain open for treatments or gentle exercise, and the wine cellar provides an intimate setting for an evening glass.

In a tailor-made safari through Thornybush Game Reserve, a few nights at the lodge create a measured pause between longer journeys across South Africa, with all meals included so timing can flex around sightings and transfers.
