The stay

Nanzhila Plains Camp is located in the secluded southern region of the Kafue National Park, nestled on the fringes of a vast Dambo (seasonal floodplain) surrounded by Jackelberry and Sausage trees. The camp features 5 chalets and 1 safari tent, accommodating up to 12 guests, with en suite facilities and unobstructed views of the dambo.

The five chalets and single safari tent at Nanzhila Plains Camp provide a calm base from which to watch the seasonal floodplain change with the light. Each room offers an en suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and twin basins, while solar power keeps phones and cameras charged. In the main area, guests can connect to Wi Fi or simply sit and observe the surrounding Jackelberry and Sausage trees.

Placed in the quieter southern section of Kafue National Park, the camp forms a natural starting point for a tailor made safari that links riverine walks with game drives across open plains. Its small scale allows schedules to shift easily around sightings, and the simple layout keeps the focus on the landscape rather than on facilities.
