The stay

Set on the slopes of the Mathews Mountains in the Namunyak Conservancy, Sarara Camp features six spacious en-suite tents with uninterrupted views of the 850,000-acre wilderness. The camp offers solar-heated outdoor showers, an infinity pool overlooking a permanent waterhole, and exclusive access to community-led conservation experiences, including visits to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary.

An infinity pool sits above a permanent waterhole, inviting quiet hours between game drives, while visits to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary give insight into the work of the local community.

A private stay at Sarara Camp pairs naturally with tailor-made itineraries in Samburu National Reserve. Guests may choose the En-suite Tent or the larger Sarara House and move on to other conservancies or reserves according to their chosen route.
