Time + Tide Chinzombo

The stay

Named after a type of tree which grows near camp, Time + Tide Chinzombo's natural building materials and vintage accents blend modern style with the best of a traditional bush safari camp. Its six spacious luxury safari tents (including a two-bedroom, two-bathroom family tent) rest beneath ancient msikizi trees. Each has a private pool and soaking tub with panoramic views over the river and its abundant wildlife.

Time + Tide Chinzombo offers a refined base from which to watch wildlife move along the riverbank. Guests wake to the sound of birds in the msikizi canopy, then spend the day cooling off in their private pool, soaking in the tub or reading in the lounge. In the evening the fire pit draws everyone together for drinks on the riverfront deck while lanterns cast a gentle glow over the water.

A few nights here anchor a tailor-made safari in South Luangwa National Park. The all-inclusive meal plan keeps the focus on game drives and walking safaris, while the family tent provides space for groups who want to share stories at day’s end.
