The stay

Wilderness Vumbura Plains blends easily into its natural surroundings. Elegantly appointed suites, elevated on wooden decking, are set along the water’s edge, each with a private viewing deck, plunge pool, sun loungers and a covered sala for siestas and private dining. The most spacious of our Delta camps, Vumbura Plains is a model of impactful tourism, celebrating our proud partnership with the Okavango Community Trust and its residents from five local villages.

The elevated suites at Vumbura Plains offer a measured rhythm to the day. Guests wake to water views from their private deck, then cool off in the plunge pool or rest under the covered sala. Communal areas include a lounge and dining room where meals are served, allowing time to watch the surrounding floodplains shift with the light.

In the Okavango Delta, the camp serves as a calm base for tailor-made safaris. Its location supports water-based activities and land excursions, while the suite layout provides privacy between outings. Partnerships with the Okavango Community Trust add context to the region’s conservation efforts.
